We are installing smart meters as part of the government-mandated Smart Metering Implementation Programme**. This programme will see more than 50 million domestic and non-domestic electricity and gas meters upgraded by the end of 2020. The programme is being led by the Department of Energy & Climate Change (DECC) in consultation with Ofgem, the industry and consumer groups.
