Two Opus Energy employees to run the New York marathon

As part of Opus Energy’s ongoing commitment to raise £10,000 for the NSPCC two Opus Energy employees are planning to run the New York marathon.

The New York City Marathon is one of the world's great road races, drawing more than 90,000 applicants. The race attracts both world-class professional athletes and fun runners alike.

Opus Energy offered two lucky employees the opportunity for an all expenses paid trip to New York to take part in the marathon. In exchange for this amazing opportunity participants had to be committed to raising £1,500 for the NSPCC. We had an amazing response but the lucky winners were Mo Fillmore, PA to the Managing Director and Penny Beard, Credit Control.

Mo is a marathon professional who has previously completed three marathons and will be providing tips to Penny who is a running novice! Both ladies are up for the challenge and looking forward to raising money for our chosen charity and a shopping trip in New York!!
