Charlie Crossley Cooke, Managing Director In early 2002 Charlie founded Opus Energy as an independent supplier providing competitively sourced electricity to the business sector. He is responsible for the growth, strategic direction and operational management of the group. He has been responsible for setting up and running energy supply businesses in the UK, Spain and The Netherlands.

Fred Esiri, Chairman Fred is a founding shareholder in Opus Energy and joined the company as a Director at the end of 2004. Fred works closely with Charlie on the group’s strategic and business development initiatives. He is also responsible for liaising with external debt and equity investors. Prior to joining Opus, Fred was a Managing Director at Goldman Sachs, where he spent 16 years working for the Investment Banking Division, advising companies on corporate finance and mergers and acquisitions.

Tim Boylan, Director - Sales Tim’s responsibilities focus on the development and management of internal and third party sales channels that concentrate on both the acquisition of new business and the retention of existing customers. Prior to joining Opus Energy in 2002, he was managing director of a consultancy focused on reducing business customers’ energy costs.

Louise Boland, Director - Risk Management Louise joined Opus Energy in 2002 and has responsibility for risk management and financial planning, as well as overseeing the company’s commercial, trading and wholesale operations. She brings a wealth of electricity market experience having spent 15 years working in a number of operational and corporate planning roles within the sector.

Steve Foster, Finance Director Steve joined Opus Energy in 2011 as Finance Director responsible for the financial management of the group. Prior to joining Opus Energy, Steve has held senior financial management roles in Fraikin Ltd, Welsh Power Group and E.On UK.

Daniel Maitland, Director - IT Dan has 15 years experience building IT systems for the gas and electricity retail market. His in-depth knowledge enables Opus Energy to build, develop and support the innovative in-house IT systems.

Andy Nash, Director - Operations Andy joined Opus Energy in 2004 and brings 15 years experience in Customer Service and Operations Management gained in the financial services and the utility industries. He is accountable for end-to-end operational processes and performance including new customer registration, invoice production and dispatch and customer service delivery. Andy’s remit encompasses both gas and electricity products across SME and Corporate portfolios.

Steve James, Director - Corporate Solutions Steve is responsible for the Opus Corporate Division. He has overseen the successful implementation and establishment of new products, including Opus Evolution, which has lead to the considerable growth and thriving success of Opus Corporate Solution. Steve has over 13 years of experience within the gas and electricity markets, leading commercial, customer service and business development teams.

Ian Stockbridge, Director - Credit Operations Ian joined the company in 2003 as Head of Credit Operations. His duties include credit assessment, collections and recoveries. As a member of the Institute of Credit Managers he has worked within credit and collections for 23 years.

Valpy Fitzgerald, Head of Renewable Products Valpy, as Head of Renewable Products, is responsible for Opus Energy’s acquisition of renewable power and certificates, and origination of structured renewable arrangements. He has 12 years’ experience in the electricity industry. Prior to that he was a university lecturer in Energy and Physics.

Andy Dayus, Head of Renewable Operations As Head of Renewable Operations, Andy's responsibilities encompass the end-to-end service to all customers generating renewable power. Since joining Opus Energy in 2002, Andy’s gained a wealth of experience in Opus’ operations in both the electricity and gas portfolios. He brought with him 5 years’ experience gained from working in the utility industry.

Jen Sena, Head of Electricity Operations Jen joined Opus in 2004 after 10 years of managing invoicing and customer service teams in the retail sector. Currently, Jen has responsibility for Customer Service, Billing and Metering for all SME electricity customers where her key responsibilities include identifying root causes of customer dissatisfaction and implementing changes to enhance the customer experience.

Jacqueline Knighton, Head of Corporate Operations Jacqueline joined Opus in 2003 and has worked in the electricity industry for over 16 years. Her experience spans the pre and post privatisation of the electricity market. Jacqueline is responsible for the end-to-end operational services delivered to our Corporate business customers.
