In recognition of its exceptional performance in human resources, Opus Energy has this month been shortlisted in two prestigious nationwide awards: the CIPD People Management Awards and the National Apprenticeship Awards.
Opus Energy’s shortlisting in the ‘Building HR capability’ category of the CIPD People Management Awards demonstrates the commitment shown by the company to developing the skills of its HR team, in order to enhance business performance and encourage career development for employees.
Opus Energy has also reached the regional stage of the National Apprenticeship Awards in the ‘Newcomer Employer of the Year’ category. This shortlisting acknowledges the success of Opus Energy’s apprenticeship scheme, which was launched last year in order to help develop its workforce.
Annamarie Petsis Jones, HR Director, Opus Energy, comments: “Being considered for two people management awards in the same month demonstrates the focus that Opus Energy places on recruiting and developing its employees.”
Opus Energy has experienced continued growth since its establishment in 2002, which was recognised by its placement in last month’s Real Business Hot 100 league table. In order to support this increase in customer numbers, Opus Energy has added 80 employees over the last year.
