Opus Energy launches My Smart Energy app putting customers in control of their energy
18th January 2021
Access to your energy data whenever, wherever
Our new app, My Smart Energy, helps customers to stay in control of their energy and make life easier – even outside of business hours. All Opus Energy customers with a SMETS2 smart meter installed can now download the My Smart Energy app for free.
Will you use the same amount of energy this year compared to last year? How much energy do your appliances use when there’s no one else on site? Now you can make informed choices to become more efficient.
Our app gives you cost and usage information for up to ten energy meters, meaning you can:
- Be prepared for the following month’s bill (cost excludes VAT and CCL)
- Spot and stop unusual energy use (e.g. outside business hours while not in the premises)
- See where you can save and how effective your actions can be – viewing the energy usage for up to 10 meters at once.
The My Smart Energy App is available on Apple devices using iOS 10.0 or later, and Android devices on operating system 5.0 or above.
As soon as you’ve downloaded the app, you’ll need to register your details, accept the terms and conditions and set up your account. You’ll be prompted to manually enter your Meter Point Administration Number (MPAN), and then to take one picture of your energy bill to confirm your meter and property details.
Once your details have been verified, you’ll receive a confirmation email within two working days. Then you’ll be ready to view your usage data and see how much you’re spending.
If you need support setting up your app, email Hildebrand on firstname.lastname@example.org. For queries about your electricity bill or service email Opus Energy using the button below.Contact us
