We’re going to walk a mile in your shoes

27th July 2018

Running a small business takes energy. Not just electricity to power the business, but physical and mental energy; to get you out of bed at 5am, to work through the night, to go above and beyond to meet an order or fix an issue.

We’ve been through this. Opus Energy grew from a small team of 10 to an organisation of nearly 900 employees. From working with small businesses for the last 16 years, we know that we all need a bit of support navigating the ups and downs that go hand in hand with running a small enterprise. In 2017, there were 2.3 million SMEs in the UK, and there is no doubt that these businesses play an important role in our economy. That’s why we truly believe in championing SME business owners, giving them the energy, both figuratively and literally, to reach their full potential.

We know it’s not easy, and we also know that energy doesn’t just come through plug sockets. We’re keen to remember our small business roots – to put ourselves in our customers’ shoes and experience what they do, day to day.

So, that’s exactly what we’re going to do. We’re opening our very own small shop, powered by Opus Energy. The Kinetic Café will combine Opus Energy enthusiasm, winning tips curated from our small business network, advice sessions, and a chance to win prizes that will give a boost to any small business owner passing through… all with a hit of juice.

On the 23rd and 24th August, we’re inviting all small business owners to come along to our pop-up juice bar in London and raise their energy levels. We’d like you to share your know-how for running a small business, and in return, we promise free juice and as much help as we can give in the way of advice and networking (and a bit of fun – wait until you see how the juice blenders are powered!)

Stay tuned for regular updates, and if you’re in the area, I’d love it if you would stop by, say hello and pick up a free juice.
